Monte Lobato made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-3. Zebastian Bergfeldt might have been able to make a better finish in the 41st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Monte Lobato. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Zebastian Bergfeldt ran back to his position shaking his head. The Tasso FC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Julias Rascals Apeldoorn were winning 2-4.

Tasso FC's Monte Lobato proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 54th minute of the match, managed to save Tasso FC from getting a goal against them. In the 56th minute Emiliano Caiola shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Monte Lobato saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Chu Tasso's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ralph Roeles read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 58th minute of play.
