The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Mohieddine Ayari stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The supporters of CERRO PORTEÑO booed when Gortaty was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 54 match minutes in a wonderful position. In the 79th minute, Mohieddine Ayari got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 95th minute the ball was on its way in behind Gortaty's goalkeeper Arturo Boruc, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Arturo Boruc stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Mohieddine Ayari's shot from short distance in the 97th minute. CERRO PORTEÑO's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
