After 3 minutes, Ejvind Kirkemand mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the FC Ceahlaul Piatra Neamt and the POCASPULGAS players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of POCASPULGAS booed when FC Ceahlaul Piatra Neamt was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 3 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ejvind Kirkemand didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Costin Malcoci got free with Rafal Leszczynski in the 12th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Costin Malcoci could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 16th minute of the match, but Rafal Leszczynski made a huge save. Lucrețiu Sfetcu stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Joakim Olsson's shot from short distance in the 18th minute. In the 19th minute Luca Lechințan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rafal Leszczynski saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 24th minute Joakim Olsson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lucrețiu Sfetcu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Joakim Olsson in the 30th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Lucrețiu Sfetcu prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 31 minutes FC Ceahlaul Piatra Neamt's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Xie Lin Kuan who took care of the corner kick. POCASPULGAS's Xie Lin Kuan was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Lucrețiu Sfetcu in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. After 33 played minutes FC Ceahlaul Piatra Neamt got a freekick which was hit by Bogdan Cucu. It seemed to be an obvious goal in the 36th minute, but Rafal Leszczynski got his fingers on the ball or the save, leaving POCASPULGAS hanging dry this time. 37 minutes into the match, POCASPULGAS's goalkeeper Rafal Leszczynski had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Costin Malcoci. After having played for 40 minutes, Joakim Olsson managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. POCASPULGAS's supporters crossed their fingers, but Joakim Olsson was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Lucrețiu Sfetcu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ruben Savier in the 48th minute of the match. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

FC Ceahlaul Piatra Neamt made a substitution. Adrian Nasta replaced Luca Lechințan. The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Joakim Olsson to strike the kick off in the second half. Valer Perișoară hit a great freekick 54 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Adrian Nasta in the 58th minute of play forced POCASPULGAS's goalkeeper Rafal Leszczynski to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Joakim Olsson's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Lucrețiu Sfetcu read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 59th minute of play. If Adrian Nasta had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 96th minute, POCASPULGAS's Joakim Olsson ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Lucrețiu Sfetcu. Lucrețiu Sfetcu yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-1. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched POCASPULGAS eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
