Spectators: 7541 (Terracing: 5657, Seating: 1734, VIP seats: 150) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Arden Poulin took the kick off in the first half of the match. 7 minutes into the game, Honorio Efraim recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Santos Perez. Honorio Efraim showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. Avery Merrill scored 1-1 in the 10th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Telmo de Amorim, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After 13 minutes, Honorio Efraim made it 2-1 with a short kick to the right side. Persepolis F.C.'s Santos Perez tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 17th minute, Sport Club Mavericks's Honorio Efraim ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Santos Perez. Santos Perez yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 3-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Avery Merrill in the 20th minute of play forced Sport Club Mavericks's goalkeeper Telmo de Amorim to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 25th minute, Arden Poulin left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Persepolis F.C. fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-2. 30 minutes into the match, Sport Club Mavericks's Honorio Efraim sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Santos Perez narrowly saved just below the crossbar. When Persepolis F.C.'s Arden Poulin in the 32nd minute got a chance for a shot 32nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Telmo de Amorim came out of the goal in the 38th minute to try and stop a shot by Persepolis F.C.'s Avery Merrill. But to his dismay, Avery Merrill quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-3. 43 minutes into the match, Sport Club Mavericks's goal looked a bit too open when Avery Merrill came free, but Telmo de Amorim reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Luizão Lima was the one to do the kick off. Santos Perez showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Honorio Efraim, who was totally free with the ball in the 51st minute. When Honorio Efraim came up free with the goalie in the 53rd minute, the Sport Club Mavericks fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Honorio Efraim couldn't finish the play. When Sport Club Mavericks's Honorio Efraim in the 56th minute got a chance for a shot 56th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Santos Perez made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 4-3. Sport Club Mavericks's Luís Gustavo Coelho was substituted for João Paulo de Sena. Sport Club Mavericks's Luo Chuan was substituted for Ong Mathews. Honorio Efraim sent away a hard shot on goal in the 62nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 62 minutes into the match, Luizão Lima notched a goal, 5-3, to the right of Persepolis F.C.'s Santos Perez. Santos Perez was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The audience thought a goal was coming when Arden Poulin got free with Telmo de Amorim in the 68th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. An unexpectedly hard shot by Arden Poulin in the 79th minute of play forced Sport Club Mavericks's goalkeeper Telmo de Amorim to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Thanks to some nice moves Justo Carlomagno could shoot a difficult shot in the 80th minute, which Telmo de Amorim however easily saved by the left post. Persepolis F.C.'s Santos Perez played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luizão Lima in the 82nd minute of play. Telmo de Amorim made an important save on a dangerous shot by Danny Craig in the 84th minute. 85 minutes into the match, Persepolis F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Luizão Lima came free, but Santos Perez reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Danny Craig made in the 93rd minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Sport Club Mavericks's Dani Alves. Santos Perez showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Luizão Lima, who was totally free with the ball in the 94th minute. Persepolis F.C.'s supporters were dissatisfied at the end of the match because Sport Club Mavericks had won, even though Persepolis F.C. had held more of the ball.
