The Trinidad 4.7 fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Danilo Heli should have stopped the shot. In the 15thth minute of the game Arden Poulin who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Trinidad 4.7's Danilo Heli was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 17th minute, Leo Ochoa got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Avery Merrill in the 23rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Danilo Heli saved Trinidad 4.7 from getting behind. In the 25th minute, Arden Poulin left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Persepolis F.C. fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. In the 36th minute, Ion Varga hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The supporters of Persepolis F.C. booed when Trinidad 4.7 was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 45 match minutes in a wonderful position. Emmanuel Mammana didn't get a good kick on the ball. Danilo Heli didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Arden Poulin went, in the 49th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-6 was the resulting score. After the first half Persepolis F.C. were leading 0-6. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Leo Ochoa stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 54 minutes into the match, Trinidad 4.7's Leo Ochoa sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Santos Perez narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 60th minute, Justo Carlomagno got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Alejo Gurutz recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 61st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a rather tough play, Persepolis F.C.'s Arden Poulin got a free kick in the 67th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Arden Poulin in the 75th minute of play forced Trinidad 4.7's goalkeeper Danilo Heli to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 79 minutes into the game, Persepolis F.C.'s Ildefonso Harkaitz nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Danilo Heli made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-7. Persepolis F.C.'s Dennis Rudolph was substituted for Gwidon Seliga. Trinidad 4.7's Victor Orzaize was substituted for Celestino Basualdo. Danilo Heli took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Arden Poulin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 91st minute, Persepolis F.C.'s Danny Craig dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-8. In the 96th match minute, Trinidad 4.7 was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ion Varga to maneuver through the defense. Andy Duff hit a great freekick 99 minutes into the match. Persepolis F.C.'s players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
