An unexpectedly hard shot by Honorio Efraim in the 22nd minute of play forced Persepolis F.C.'s goalkeeper Santos Perez to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Sport Club Mavericks's Sven Herling got a free kick in the 26th minute. When Sport Club Mavericks's Luizão Lima in the 30th minute got a chance for a shot 30th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Santos Perez breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Telmo de Amorim showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Justo Carlomagno in the 80th minute of the match. Telmo de Amorim took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Avery Merrill, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 81 minutes into the match, Sport Club Mavericks's goal looked a bit too open when Avery Merrill came free, but Telmo de Amorim reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Sport Club Mavericks's Telmo de Amorim played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Arden Poulin in the 82nd minute of play. In the 86th minute of the match Persepolis F.C. got a corner. Sport Club Mavericks's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Arden Poulin ran over to the corner to take the kick. It was a well-played corner which Dennis Rudolph managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. In the 92nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Persepolis F.C.'s goalkeeper Santos Perez, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Santos Perez made a fantastic save in the 93rd minute, when Luizão Lima sent off a good shot on target.
