After a rather tough play, Rockets's Valério Peres got a free kick in the 5th minute. 7 minutes into the match, Răzvan Mumuleanu notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of Rockets's Geraldo Queiroz. Geraldo Queiroz was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Flavius Orescu scored 2-0 in the 13th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Geraldo Queiroz, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The supporters of Rockets booed when FC Brink was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 15 match minutes in a wonderful position. Iordache Isăilă didn't get a good kick on the ball. Petrică Ţeica's late challenge caught a Rockets's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Dudu Madureira in the 24th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Pompiliu Zmărăndescu prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Geraldo Queiroz made a fantastic save in the 26th minute, when Waldemar Mule sent off a good shot on target. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Joélson Melo during the 27th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Geraldo Queiroz stood somewhat misplaced when Waldemar Mule came free in front of goal and shot 3-0 to the left of him in the 29 minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 32nd minute, Petrică Ţeica managed to get in a good position for a shot. FC Brink's supporters rose to their feet, but Petrică Ţeica was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Geraldo Queiroz breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Waldemar Mule took the ball and in the 40 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Geraldo Queiroz. Geraldo Queiroz dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 5-0. Răzvan Mumuleanu received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Geraldo Queiroz came out and tried to block the shot, but Răzvan Mumuleanu slotted it home off the left post making it 6-0 in the 46th minute.
51 minutes into the match, Rockets's goal looked a bit too open when Flavius Orescu came free, but Geraldo Queiroz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 57th minute Flavius Orescu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Geraldo Queiroz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 59th minute, Dudu Madureira hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Waldemar Mule might have been able to make a better finish in the 61st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Geraldo Queiroz. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Waldemar Mule ran back to his position shaking his head. After 64 played minutes Rockets got a freekick which was hit by Edu Mangueira. Flavius Orescu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Geraldo Queiroz having to interfere. Flavius Orescu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 73rd minute. Geraldo Queiroz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 77 minutes, Răzvan Mumuleanu made it 8-0 with a short kick to the right side. Rockets's Geraldo Queiroz tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. After 80 minutes of play Rockets's Joélson Melo was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. Joélson Melo kicked well hit freekick during the 81st minute of the match. 84 minutes into the match, Waldemar Mule had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Geraldo Queiroz. Rockets's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Waldemar Mule was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 9-0. Geraldo Queiroz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Răzvan Mumuleanu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.
