A nice corner shot did that Apolo Irigoyen got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Lennart Merioja quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Henri Villem in the 23rd minute of play forced General Velásquez's goalkeeper Henry Tucknott to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 25 minutes into the game, General Velásquez's Renato Goycolea nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Lennart Merioja made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-0. Lennart Merioja showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Guntademaro Goyenechea in the 28th minute of the match. The crowd rose to their feet as General Velásquez's Guntademaro Goyenechea slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Lennart Merioja. That made the score 3-0 after 29 minutes of play. Lennart Merioja showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Guntademaro Goyenechea, who was totally free with the ball in the 34th minute. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Guntademaro Goyenechea made a kick off. Guntademaro Goyenechea hit a great freekick 52 minutes into the match. General Velásquez's attentive Gustav Tidéksson managed to snatch the ball when Olari Raudsoo made a throw-in in the 58th minute of the game. In the 60th minute, Apolo Irigoyen left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The General Velásquez fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 4-0. Renato Goycolea recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 64th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. General Velásquez's Jorge Vicente Squella was substituted for Apolo Irigoyen. Lennart Merioja made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Guntademaro Goyenechea in the 67th minute of play. 68 minutes into the game, General Velásquez's Guntademaro Goyenechea nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Lennart Merioja made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 5-0. 72 minutes into the match, Jorge Vicente Squella notched a goal, 6-0, to the right of Kogimyae JK's Lennart Merioja. Lennart Merioja was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Jorge Vicente Squella might have been able to make a better finish in the 89th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Lennart Merioja. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Jorge Vicente Squella ran back to his position shaking his head. Lennart Merioja took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Johny De Raeijmaecker, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Lennart Merioja didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Guntademaro Goyenechea went, in the 96th minute, to the upper right corner, 7-0 was the resulting score. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. General Velásquez had played much better football throughout.
