Edinburgh City's Tom Saunders played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lando Guazo in the 12th minute of play. Tassos Koutsoubos might have been able to make a better finish in the 13th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Tom Saunders. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Tassos Koutsoubos ran back to his position shaking his head. After 14 minutes of play, Bergamim F.C.'s Claudinei Peixoto made it 2-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Tom Saunders was left in no man's land by his defense there! Claudinei Peixoto received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 19th minute. Tom Saunders tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Tom Saunders made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Claudinei Peixoto in the 20th minute of play. Claudinei Peixoto's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 23rdth minute, Tom Saunders skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. In the 29th minute, Chris Goudie hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Claudinei Peixoto who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 30thth minute tested the skills of Tom Saunders when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Claudinei Peixoto sent away a hard shot on goal in the 35th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some fancy dribbling in the 40th minute, Leonidas Alejo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Bergamim F.C.'s supporters rose to their feet, but Leonidas Alejo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Tom Saunders breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The referee gave Bergamim F.C. a penalty, 47 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Tassos Koutsoubos, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Edinburgh City's Tom Saunders. 4-0. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 4-0.

Tom Saunders came out of the goal in the 67th minute to try and stop a shot by Bergamim F.C.'s Tassos Koutsoubos. But to his dismay, Tassos Koutsoubos quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 7-0. 71 minutes into the game, Bergamim F.C.'s Tassos Koutsoubos nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Tom Saunders made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 8-0. In the 76thth minute of the game Claudinei Peixoto who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Edinburgh City's Tom Saunders was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The audience was convinced that Claudinei Peixoto's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Tom Saunders was relentless in the 87th minute of the game. Tom Saunders showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Claudinei Peixoto, who was totally free with the ball in the 89th minute. Bergamim F.C.'s Marcel de Godoi got a good chance for a goal in the 92nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Claudinei Peixoto sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 94th minute, Marcel de Godoi hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some fancy dribbling in the 96th minute, Marcel de Godoi managed to get in a good position for a shot. Bergamim F.C.'s supporters rose to their feet, but Marcel de Godoi was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Tom Saunders breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Bergamim F.C. walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
