Kai Østbye fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 4th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Iker Hidalgo having to interfere. In the 10th minute Kai Østbye shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Iker Hidalgo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Velho Barreiro FC booed when Brufoss IL was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 11 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jan-Kenneth Heistad didn't get a good kick on the ball. 16 minutes into the match, Velho Barreiro FC's goalkeeper Iker Hidalgo had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Kai Østbye. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fotyo Tuliyski in the 18th minute of play forced Brufoss IL's goalkeeper Borys Witek to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 21st minute of the match Michel Siqueira sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Borys Witek skillfully saved the ball. 25 minutes into the match, Leonardo Gaúcho had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Borys Witek. Brufoss IL's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Leonardo Gaúcho was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Emmanuel Schol kicked well hit freekick during the 31st minute of the match. Borys Witek took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Leonardo Gaúcho, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Brufoss IL's Borys Witek played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Leonardo Gaúcho in the 33rd minute of play. Brufoss IL's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Kai Østbye in the 39th minute. The corner led Brufoss IL's Kai Østbye to fire away a dangerous shot which Iker Hidalgo despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Borys Witek made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Leonardo Gaúcho in the 43rd minute of play. Leonardo Gaúcho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Borys Witek came out of the goal in the 47th minute to try and stop a shot by Velho Barreiro FC's Fotyo Tuliyski. But to his dismay, Fotyo Tuliyski quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-3. Disappointed in the 0-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Leonardo Gaúcho to strike the kick off in the second half. Leonardo Gaúcho struck a weak shot in the 54th minute. Borys Witek didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Velho Barreiro FC. 58 minutes into the match, Velho Barreiro FC's goal looked a bit too open when Kai Østbye came free, but Iker Hidalgo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Leonardo Gaúcho could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 60th minute of the match, but Borys Witek made a huge save. Iker Hidalgo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kent Remme, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Brufoss IL made a substitution. In the 69th match minute, Velho Barreiro FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Vânderson Carioca to maneuver through the defense. 70 minutes into the match, Kent Remme had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Iker Hidalgo. After some careless play in the Velho Barreiro FC defense, Rune Saltnes kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Iker Hidalgo. The Velho Barreiro FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Iker Hidalgo should have stopped the shot. Leonardo Gaúcho might have been able to make a better finish in the 91st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Borys Witek. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Leonardo Gaúcho ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 91st minute, Fotyo Tuliyski got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 93 minutes into the match, Velho Barreiro FC's goal looked a bit too open when Rune Saltnes came free, but Iker Hidalgo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 95 minutes into the match, Kevin Strømsnes had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Iker Hidalgo. Velho Barreiro FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Kevin Strømsnes was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-3. Neither set of supporters seemed pleased with the draw, but both teams had played equally well today.
