Brufoss IL's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Mario Joseph ran over to the corner to take the kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Abel Calvet in the 10th minute of play forced Brufoss IL's goalkeeper Borys Witek to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 13th match minute, Los Mega was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Angel Valerio to maneuver through the defense. If Abel Calvet had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Borys Witek showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Abel Calvet, who was totally free with the ball in the 15th minute. 15 minutes into the game, Los Mega's Abel Calvet nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. After taking down the ball on Los Mega's corner Mario Joseph fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Borys Witek quite easily take care of the ball. Mario Joseph's late challenge caught a Brufoss IL's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Mario Joseph helped the player get up and apologised. Brufoss IL made a substitution. Frode Tobiassen replaced Kent Remme. A collision led to Los Mega getting a freekick after 25 minutes play. Mario Joseph hit a great ball. 29 minutes into the match, Brufoss IL's goal looked a bit too open when Francesco Totti came free, but Borys Witek reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 30th minute, Abel Calvet managed to get in a good position for a shot. Los Mega's supporters rose to their feet, but Abel Calvet was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Borys Witek breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Stig-Arne Melberg hit a great ball. 35 minutes into the match, Brufoss IL's goal looked a bit too open when Abel Calvet came free, but Borys Witek reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Federico Jaizki showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Christer Ribe, who was totally free with the ball in the 37th minute. Emanuel Markham could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 43rd minute of the match, but Federico Jaizki made a huge save. The wind increased when Francesco Totti made the kick off in the second half. In the 53rd minute Abel Calvet shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Borys Witek saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The corner led Los Mega's Miroslaw Resel to fire away a dangerous shot which Borys Witek despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Kai Østbye's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Federico Jaizki read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 91st minute of play. Los Mega's Federico Jaizki played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Emanuel Markham in the 93rd minute of play. After having played for 96 minutes, Kai Østbye managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Brufoss IL's supporters crossed their fingers, but Kai Østbye was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Los Mega's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
