Spectators: 7553 (Terracing: 5666, Seating: 1737, VIP seats: 150) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Emanuel Markham started the match with the kick off. The supporters of Brufoss IL booed when Zijdewind SC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 2 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ferdi Dekens didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 3rd match minute, Brufoss IL was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Emmanuel Schol to maneuver through the defense. After a defensive mix-up in Brufoss IL's zone, Ferdi Dekens stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Borys Witek came out of the goal and Ferdi Dekens tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Rune Saltnes in the 7th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Mario Klompe saved Zijdewind SC from getting behind. 8 minutes had been played when some careless play by Zijdewind SC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Kai Østbye was slow to take the kick. During this time Brufoss IL's players had a chance to rest. The corner led Brufoss IL's Kai Østbye to fire away a dangerous shot which Mario Klompe despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Zijdewind SC's Mario Klompe proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 10th minute of the match, managed to save Zijdewind SC from getting a goal against them. Kai Østbye struck a weak shot in the 17th minute. Mario Klompe didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Brufoss IL. 20 minutes into the match, Zijdewind SC's goal looked a bit too open when Kai Østbye came free, but Mario Klompe reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After having played for 27 minutes, Kai Østbye managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Brufoss IL's supporters crossed their fingers, but Kai Østbye was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 29th minute, Arjan van Zijp hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Christer Ribe had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 32nd minute Emanuel Markham shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mario Klompe saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 36 minutes into the game, Kent Remme recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Mario Klompe. Kent Remme showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. A collision led to Zijdewind SC getting a freekick after 42 minutes play. Wilco Theuws hit a great ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 43rd minute, Kent Remme managed to get in a good position for a shot. Brufoss IL's supporters rose to their feet, but Kent Remme was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Mario Klompe breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Kent Remme sent away a hard shot on goal in the 46th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

In the 53rd minute, Kent Remme left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Brufoss IL fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-0. After a rather tough play, Brufoss IL's Kent Remme got a free kick in the 57th minute. Ferdi Dekens succeeded in the game's 58th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 2-1. In the 62nd minute, Kent Remme ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Mario Klompe was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-1. Brufoss IL's Are Høiby was substituted for Jan-Kenneth Heistad. If Emanuel Markham had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 75th minute, Kent Remme left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Brufoss IL fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 4-1. In the 92ndth minute of the game Kent Remme who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Zijdewind SC's Mario Klompe was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 94th minute Kent Remme shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mario Klompe saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Kent Remme scored 5-1 in the 95th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Mario Klompe, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. When the referee ended the match the Brufoss IL players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
