With an extended leg and a bit of luck Intxixu Porregimon prevented the ball from getting in the gole. A collision led to Mexilhão F. C. getting a freekick after 16 minutes play. Kacper Jaworski hit a great ball. In the 20th minute Ronaldinho Romero shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Luiz Fernando Peixoto saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ronaldinho Romero in the 30th minute of play forced Bezerros EC's goalkeeper Luiz Fernando Peixoto to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A hard shot 31 in the game by Germano Pernambucano from a close distance when the talented Luiz Fernando Peixoto managed to make a qualified save. Bezerros EC's players were relieved. In the 34th minute, Mexilhão F. C.'s Anaia Barba dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-0. If Germano Pernambucano had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 42 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Mexilhão F. C.! Mexilhão F. C.:s Intxixu Porregimon showed great skill when he stopped Kléber Paiva:s penalty. Intxixu Porregimon stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Alex Arantes's shot from short distance in the 45th minute. In the 47th minute, Alex Arantes ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Intxixu Porregimon was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-1. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-1.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Claudinho do Vale to strike the kick off in the second half. Clóvis Camargo hit a great freekick 63 minutes into the match. 66 minutes into the match, Bezerros EC's goal looked a bit too open when Germano Pernambucano came free, but Luiz Fernando Peixoto reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Donato Ceresso sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Kléber Paiva kicked well hit freekick during the 96th minute of the match.
