Rubinho de Amaral was left in no man's land by his defense there! Luís Guilherme Cabral hit a great freekick 11 minutes into the match. Rubinho de Amaral didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Flavius Simionescu went, in the 13th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. Real Cruzeiro FC's Rubinho de Amaral played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Marcel Turcescu in the 15th minute of play. Tales Salgado's late challenge caught a Rovine Craiova's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Tales Salgado helped the player get up and apologised. After 16 played minutes Real Cruzeiro FC got a freekick which was hit by Tales Salgado. Real Cruzeiro FC's Rubinho de Amaral played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Marcel Turcescu in the 17th minute of play. Rovine Craiova were awarded a corner in the 19th minute after Real Cruzeiro FC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Alexandru Tudorică took the corner. Rubinho de Amaral showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jyrki Saarelainen in the 23rd minute of the match. After 24 minutes of play, Rovine Craiova's Alexandru Tudorică made it 0-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Rubinho de Amaral showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Marcel Turcescu, who was totally free with the ball in the 30th minute. After the first half Rovine Craiova were leading 0-6. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Baltazar Zonta stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Marcel Turcescu received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Rubinho de Amaral came out and tried to block the shot, but Marcel Turcescu slotted it home off the left post making it 0-7 in the 50th minute. With a little luck, Real Cruzeiro FC's Rubinho de Amaral got control of the ball when Cristinel Leluțiu tried to sneak it across the goal line. Rubinho de Amaral didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 56th minute, which inside left pole to 0-8. Rubinho de Amaral made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alexandru Tudorică in the 59th minute of play. 60 minutes into the match, Real Cruzeiro FC's goal looked a bit too open when Anton Cezariu came free, but Rubinho de Amaral reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Rovine Craiova's Paul Pânzaru played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Baltazar Zonta in the 63rd minute of play. Rubinho de Amaral showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jyrki Saarelainen, who was totally free with the ball in the 72nd minute. The supporters of Rovine Craiova booed when Real Cruzeiro FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 72 match minutes in a wonderful position. Luís Guilherme Cabral didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some careless play in the Real Cruzeiro FC defense, Jyrki Saarelainen kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Rubinho de Amaral. The Real Cruzeiro FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Rubinho de Amaral should have stopped the shot. The audience thought a goal was coming when Marcel Turcescu got free with Rubinho de Amaral in the 78th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Rubinho de Amaral was out of position in the 79 minute of play, and Marcel Turcescu capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Marcel Turcescu really showed his touch with that goal: 0-11. Rubinho de Amaral made a fantastic save in the 82nd minute, when Alexandru Tudorică sent off a good shot on target. Rubinho de Amaral took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Marcel Turcescu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Real Cruzeiro FC's Rubinho de Amaral proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 86th minute of the match, managed to save Real Cruzeiro FC from getting a goal against them. Rubinho de Amaral made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marcel Turcescu in the 88th minute of play. 89 minutes into the match, Flavius Simionescu had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Rubinho de Amaral. Real Cruzeiro FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Flavius Simionescu was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-12. 92 minutes into the match, Real Cruzeiro FC's goalkeeper Rubinho de Amaral had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Jyrki Saarelainen. The Real Cruzeiro FC fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Rovine Craiova were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
