After some careless play in the Real Cruzeiro FC defense, Marcel Turcescu kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Rubinho de Amaral. The Real Cruzeiro FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Rubinho de Amaral should have stopped the shot. 7 minutes into the match, Real Cruzeiro FC's goalkeeper Rubinho de Amaral had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Marcel Turcescu. Rubinho de Amaral took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jyrki Saarelainen, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Real Cruzeiro FC's Rubinho de Amaral proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 9th minute of the match, managed to save Real Cruzeiro FC from getting a goal against them. Rubinho de Amaral made an important save on a dangerous shot by Alexandru Tudorică in the 16th minute. Rubinho de Amaral was a little too slow when Marcel Turcescu got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 23rd minute. The score was now 3-0. Marcel Turcescu struck a weak shot in the 26th minute. Rubinho de Amaral didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Rovine Craiova. 28 minutes into the match, Real Cruzeiro FC's goalkeeper Rubinho de Amaral had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Jyrki Saarelainen. Rubinho de Amaral was out of position in the 29 minute of play, and Jyrki Saarelainen capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Jyrki Saarelainen really showed his touch with that goal: 4-0. After a defensive mix-up in Rovine Craiova's zone, Baltazar Zonta stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Lucrețiu Dragoș came out of the goal and Baltazar Zonta tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 34 minutes into the game, Alexandru Tudorică recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Rubinho de Amaral. Alexandru Tudorică showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 5-0. Real Cruzeiro FC's Rubinho de Amaral proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 38th minute of the match, managed to save Real Cruzeiro FC from getting a goal against them. Alexandru Tudorică took the ball and in the 42 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Rubinho de Amaral. Rubinho de Amaral dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 6-0. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 6-0 at half-time.

In the 51st minute, Gonçalo Sarmento hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 58 minutes into the match, Real Cruzeiro FC's goal looked a bit too open when Alexandru Tudorică came free, but Rubinho de Amaral reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 61 minutes into the match, Alexandru Tudorică had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Rubinho de Amaral. Real Cruzeiro FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Alexandru Tudorică was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 7-0. Rubinho de Amaral came out of the goal in the 65th minute to try and stop a shot by Rovine Craiova's Jyrki Saarelainen. But to his dismay, Jyrki Saarelainen quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 8-0. If Jyrki Saarelainen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 72nd minute, Jyrki Saarelainen made a precise shot to the right of Rubinho de Amaral. Real Cruzeiro FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 9-0. Rubinho de Amaral showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jyrki Saarelainen in the 81st minute of the match. 83 minutes into the game, Jyrki Saarelainen cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 11-0. Rubinho de Amaral was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 86 minutes into the match, Real Cruzeiro FC's goal looked a bit too open when Alexandru Tudorică came free, but Rubinho de Amaral reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Rubinho de Amaral made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marcel Turcescu in the 87th minute of play. After 90 played minutes Real Cruzeiro FC got a freekick which was hit by Gonçalo Sarmento. The supporters of Rovine Craiova booed when Real Cruzeiro FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 91 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nelson de Lima didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 96th minute, Baltazar Zonta reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Lucrețiu Dragoș. The goal made the score 11-1. Rovine Craiova walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
