The crowd rose to their feet as Marcel Turcescu kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Mike Zoetmulder. That made the score 7-1 in the 84 minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mathias de Ruijter in the 90th minute of play forced Rovine Craiova's goalkeeper Paul Pânzaru to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a little luck, De Pelgrims's Mike Zoetmulder got control of the ball when Cristinel Leluțiu tried to sneak it across the goal line.
