Güvenç Taşan came out of the goal in the 6th minute to try and stop a shot by Cavaliers FC's Sebastián Villa. But to his dismay, Sebastián Villa quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. The supporters of Hatayspor booed when Cavaliers FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 20 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jeremias Sandalio didn't get a good kick on the ball. Cavaliers FC's Sebastián Villa got a good chance for a goal in the 24th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Güvenç Taşan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Teofilo Mikeldi in the 30th minute of play. Cavaliers FC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Teofilo Mikeldi in the 31st minute. A collision led to Cavaliers FC getting a freekick after 45 minutes play. Cecilio Feliz hit a great ball. In the 48th minute, Sebastián Villa hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Cornelio Villegas showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alp Torehan, who was totally free with the ball in the 58th minute. In the 71stth minute of the game Nafiz Revis who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Cavaliers FC's Cornelio Villegas was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Sebastián Villa received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Güvenç Taşan came out and tried to block the shot, but Sebastián Villa slotted it home off the left post making it 1-2 in the 73rd minute. With a little luck, Hatayspor's Güvenç Taşan got control of the ball when Sebastián Villa tried to sneak it across the goal line.
