Elliott Levander showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from İbrahim Ethem Acaralp, who was totally free with the ball in the 33rd minute. 36 minutes into the match, Leeds United FC's goal looked a bit too open when Nafiz Revis came free, but Elliott Levander reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Nafiz Revis was the one to do the kick off. Alp Torehan recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 51st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. İbrahim Ethem Acaralp took the ball and in the 53 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Elliott Levander. Elliott Levander dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-4. 0-5 became the score in the 59th minute when Nafiz Revis elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. İbrahim Ethem Acaralp's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Elliott Levander firmly grabbed it by the left post. Gordon Strachan hit a great freekick 66 minutes into the match. In the 67th minute, Baskın Türker hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 71 minutes, Gordon Strachan mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Leeds United FC and the Hatayspor players grew even worse after the yellow card. Elliott Levander was out of position in the 72 minute of play, and Alp Torehan capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Alp Torehan really showed his touch with that goal: 0-6. Güvenç Taşan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kennet Bergqvist, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After having played for 85 minutes, Nafiz Revis managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Hatayspor's supporters crossed their fingers, but Nafiz Revis was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. An unexpected shot in the 87th minute by İbrahim Ethem Acaralp got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. After 88 played minutes Leeds United FC got a freekick which was hit by Lennart Grubb. 89 minutes into the match, Nafiz Revis had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Elliott Levander. Leeds United FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Nafiz Revis was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-7. İbrahim Ethem Acaralp sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The audience thought a goal was coming when İbrahim Ethem Acaralp got free with Elliott Levander in the 94th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 96th minute, İbrahim Ethem Acaralp left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Hatayspor fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-8. When the match was over Hatayspor could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Leeds United FC throughout the match.
