Spectators: 7450 (Terracing: 5589, Seating: 1713, VIP seats: 148) Viktor Nyman made the kick off and thus started the match. After a rather tough play, Leeds United FC's Tommy Lönn got a free kick in the 3rd minute. 5 minutes into the match, Bernt Vennerkvist notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Leeds United FC's Elliott Levander. Elliott Levander was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Edgar Ström took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Aaron Kvist, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Hisingen IK's Edgar Ström played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gary McAlister in the 15th minute of play. The supporters of Hisingen IK booed when Leeds United FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 17 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sture Tolsson didn't get a good kick on the ball. Elliott Levander showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bernt Vennerkvist, who was totally free with the ball in the 21st minute. In the 21st minute, Bernt Vennerkvist ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Elliott Levander was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-3. After 24 minutes, Aaron Kvist mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Leeds United FC and the Hisingen IK players grew even worse after the yellow card. Elliott Levander took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Marko Siöman, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 29 minutes of play Leeds United FC's Aaron Kvist was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. After 30 played minutes Leeds United FC got a freekick which was hit by Aaron Kvist. In the 33rd minute, Bernt Vennerkvist left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Hisingen IK fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-4. Leeds United FC's Jimmy-Floyd Hasselbaink got a good chance for a goal in the 36th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 39th match minute, Hisingen IK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bengt-Arne Wester to maneuver through the defense. Elliott Levander showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Viktor Nyman, who was totally free with the ball in the 43rd minute. The audience was convinced that Viktor Nyman's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Elliott Levander was relentless in the 45th minute of the game. Gordon Strachan hit a great freekick 45 minutes into the match. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-4 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

After 53 played minutes Hisingen IK got a freekick which was hit by Ludwig Smedfeldt. Jörn Fagrell succeeded in the game's 67th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 0-6. 70 minutes into the game, Bernt Vennerkvist recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Elliott Levander. Bernt Vennerkvist showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-7. Elliott Levander was out of position in the 74 minute of play, and Viktor Nyman capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Viktor Nyman really showed his touch with that goal: 0-8. 77 minutes into the game, Hisingen IK's Viktor Nyman nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Elliott Levander made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-9. In the 82nd minute, Marko Siöman made a precise shot to the right of Elliott Levander. Leeds United FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-10. Leeds United FC's Elliott Levander proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 85th minute of the match, managed to save Leeds United FC from getting a goal against them. After 86 played minutes Leeds United FC got a freekick which was hit by Tommy Lönn. Elliott Levander acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 88th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Mattias Gabrielsson. Bernt Vennerkvist in the 89thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Elliott Levander, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Elliott Levander came out of the goal in the 93rd minute to try and stop a shot by Hisingen IK's Bernt Vennerkvist. But to his dismay, Bernt Vennerkvist quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-12. Marko Siöman sent away a hard shot on goal in the 96th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Hisingen IK played a much better game than Leeds United FC and deserved their victory. The Leeds United FC players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
