Jeremias Ledesma showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lv Yuan Kuan in the 32nd minute of the match. After 33 minutes Chimborazo A.F.C's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Lars Hedlund who took care of the corner kick. The corner ended in Lars Hedlund almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Chimborazo A.F.C's Jeremias Ledesma did a great save. In the 35th minute You Guang Li shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Paul Holmstedt saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Chimborazo A.F.C's Marcos Bizi got a free kick in the 38th minute. Jeremias Ledesma didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Hubert Ekerot went, in the 39th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-3 was the resulting score. Cao Rong Jian charged in rather forcefully in the 47th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Cao Rong Jian the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Marcos Bizi made a kick off. If Lv Yuan Kuan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 51st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jeremias Ledesma took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hubert Ekerot, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. FC Pepsi's Paul Holmstedt played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by David Cearense in the 63rd minute of play. Bruno Lucente fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jeremias Ledesma having to interfere. Joshua Sammut Castelletti could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 65th minute of the match, but Jeremias Ledesma made a huge save. Lóránt Vadász was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 67 minutes into the match. Lars Hedlund kicked well hit freekick during the 71st minute of the match. FC Pepsi's Kurt Lundin was substituted for Lv Yuan Kuan. In the 72nd match minute, FC Pepsi was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lars Hedlund to maneuver through the defense. Jeremias Ledesma made a fantastic save in the 82nd minute, when Joshua Sammut Castelletti sent off a good shot on target. A collision led to Chimborazo A.F.C getting a freekick after 92 minutes play. Ernesto Pacifico hit a great ball. 94 minutes into the game, one of FC Pepsi:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. In the 97th minute there was a penalty for Chimborazo A.F.C. Ernesto Pacifico stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Paul Holmstedt. 1-4. FC Pepsi's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
