It was Itzaina Abastas who took care of the corner kick. It was a well-played corner which Tomas Abello managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. 14 minutes into the match, Wyatt Jeffers had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Şeray Rauf. The Last Airbender's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Wyatt Jeffers was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. In the 17th minute Oswaldo Trigo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jeremy Blomme saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Leonardo Astrada came up free with the goalie in the 18th minute, the Nacional Potosí fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Leonardo Astrada couldn't finish the play. Jeremy Blomme showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cemal Özgun, who was totally free with the ball in the 23rd minute.
