In the 9th minute, UE Cornella's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Clóvis de Senna fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. If Clóvis de Senna had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience was convinced that Mel Palanques's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Geovanni Hoffmann was relentless in the 24th minute of the game. The audience thought a goal was coming when Clóvis de Senna got free with Oliverios Coya in the 28th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Mel Palanques during the 29th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to UE Cornella getting a freekick after 29 minutes play. Mel Palanques hit a great ball. Oliverios Coya made a fantastic save in the 33rd minute, when Clóvis de Senna sent off a good shot on target. If Santos Fidensio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 35 minutes into the match, UE Cornella's goalkeeper Oliverios Coya had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Clóvis de Senna. UE Cornella's Oliverios Coya played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Clóvis de Senna in the 45th minute of play. After having played for 46 minutes, Bonifacio Bonifaco managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Cascatinha United's supporters crossed their fingers, but Bonifacio Bonifaco was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Clóvis de Senna blasted a shot towards the goal in the 48th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Oliverios Coya having to make a save. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

In the 52nd minute, Walme Vives fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. 57 minutes into the match, UE Cornella's goal looked a bit too open when Santos Fidensio came free, but Oliverios Coya reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In a very dangerous position, a player in UE Cornella fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 59th minute. Penalty! Oliverios Coya came out of the goal in the 61st minute to try and stop a shot by Cascatinha United's Abelardo Nascimento. But to his dismay, Abelardo Nascimento quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. 64 minutes into the match, Cascatinha United's Santos Fidensio sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Oliverios Coya narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Albino Bacete struck a weak shot in the 74th minute. Geovanni Hoffmann didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for UE Cornella. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Clóvis de Senna in the 75th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Oliverios Coya saved UE Cornella from getting behind. Oliverios Coya showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Clóvis de Senna, who was totally free with the ball in the 77th minute. After 77 minutes, Ismael Villalcazar mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the UE Cornella and the Cascatinha United players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to UE Cornella getting a freekick after 77 minutes play. Ismael Villalcazar hit a great ball. 83 minutes into the match, Clóvis de Senna notched a goal, 2-0, to the right of UE Cornella's Oliverios Coya. Oliverios Coya was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 86 minutes into the match, UE Cornella's goal looked a bit too open when Clóvis de Senna came free, but Oliverios Coya reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Cascatinha United's Clóvis de Senna in the 88th minute got a chance for a shot 88th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye UE Cornella's goalie prevented a goal. UE Cornella's Oliverios Coya played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Clóvis de Senna in the 91st minute of play. Oliverios Coya showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Clóvis de Senna, who was totally free with the ball in the 96th minute. 98 minutes into the match, Santos Fidensio had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Oliverios Coya. UE Cornella's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Santos Fidensio was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-0. Cascatinha United's Jardel Trevisan was substituted for Santos Fidensio. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Cascatinha United had played much better football throughout.
