A.D Atlético Villa Gesell's Arnaldo Furlan quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Jorge Osorio, made in the 24th minute of the game. 26 minutes into the match, Cable a Tierra's goal looked a bit too open when Saturnino Bastia came free, but Leonides Telesforo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Cable a Tierra were awarded a corner in the 35th minute after A.D Atlético Villa Gesell's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Leandro Salvator took the corner. Filomeno Atarrabi was a little too slow when Narciso Bertassi got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 45th minute. The score was now 2-0. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Narciso Bertassi was the one to do the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Claudio Echeverri in the 61st minute of play forced A.D Atlético Villa Gesell's goalkeeper Filomeno Atarrabi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 63rd minute, Saturnino Bastia got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 68th minute Claudio Echeverri shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Filomeno Atarrabi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A.D Atlético Villa Gesell's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Claudio Echeverri was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-0. After 81 played minutes A.D Atlético Villa Gesell got a freekick which was hit by Esteban Hitzeder. Filomeno Atarrabi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Leandro Salvator, who was totally free with the ball in the 82nd minute. After 87 minutes of play, Cable a Tierra's Saverio Mercurio made it 5-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Filomeno Atarrabi was left in no man's land by his defense there! There was no doubt that Cable a Tierra were the better team. Cable a Tierra's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
