Maria Stefan was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 20 minutes into the match. 25 minutes into the match, MKS Mazur Ełk's goal looked a bit too open when Cirilo Malvin came free, but Cezary Sitko reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Wieslaw Zawacki fell near the penalty area in the 40th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored MKS Mazur Ełk's protests and gave Wieslaw Zawacki a yellow card for diving instead. With an all-out effort, MKS Mazur Ełk's Ádám Szuper threw himself towards the right post 45 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Alex Göransson, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.
