In the 16th minute, Leandro Salvator hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ladislao Hibai fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Leonides Telesforo having to interfere. In the 28th minute Claudio Echeverri shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Leonardo Tancredo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 37 minutes into the match, Nueva Lepra FC's goal looked a bit too open when Narciso Bertassi came free, but Leonardo Tancredo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Leonardo Tancredo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gavino Egoi in the 38th minute of play. Nueva Lepra FC's Leonardo Tancredo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Narciso Bertassi in the 41st minute of play. 42 minutes into the game, Tambet Org was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Nueva Lepra FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Cable a Tierra the free kick. A collision led to Nueva Lepra FC getting a freekick after 43 minutes play. Tambet Org hit a great ball. In the 46th match minute, Nueva Lepra FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Stefan Augustyn to maneuver through the defense. Leonardo Tancredo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gavino Egoi in the 47th minute of the match. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Narciso Bertassi made a kick off. Leonides Telesforo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eloy Dominic in the 51st minute of play. Leonardo Tancredo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gavino Egoi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ladislao Hibai in the 59th minute of play forced Cable a Tierra's goalkeeper Leonides Telesforo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Gavino Egoi hit a great freekick 60 minutes into the match. In the 65th minute Cable a Tierra were awarded a corner. Leandro Salvator went to the cornerflag to take it. After taking down the ball on Cable a Tierra's corner Leandro Salvator fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Leonardo Tancredo quite easily take care of the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tambet Org in the 68th minute of play forced Cable a Tierra's goalkeeper Leonides Telesforo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 69 played minutes Nueva Lepra FC got a freekick which was hit by Eloy Dominic. An unexpectedly hard shot by Narciso Bertassi in the 70th minute of play forced Nueva Lepra FC's goalkeeper Leonardo Tancredo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 72nd minute, Eloy Dominic hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 73rd minute of the match, Gavino Egoi tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Leonardo Tancredo saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. The supporters of Cable a Tierra booed when Nueva Lepra FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 76 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gerson Arce didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Gavino Egoi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Through an outstanding action, after 92 minutes, Leonardo Tancredo successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. When the match had gone on for 95 minutes, Gavino Egoi took a quick shot and it went in 0-1 without a chance for Leonardo Tancredo to make any attempt to save it. The Cable a Tierra supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Cable a Tierra would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
