Spectators: 7450 (Terracing: 5589, Seating: 1713, VIP seats: 148) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Benedykt Siedlecki kicked off to start the match. The audience was convinced that Pornsak Seearamrungruang's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Mieszko Wielgopolski was relentless in the 6th minute of the game. A collision led to FC Lugano getting a freekick after 7 minutes play. Bastien Muntwyler hit a great ball. Through an outstanding action, after 12 minutes, Dieter Gärtner successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Krzysztof Filipowski sent away a hard shot on goal in the 14th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Krzysztof Filipowski had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Witomir Wojtowicz struck a weak shot in the 21st minute. Dieter Gärtner didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for FC Wieliczka. Fidelio Haller hit a great freekick 22 minutes into the match. Fidelio Haller charged in rather forcefully in the 26th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Fidelio Haller the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 26th match minute, FC Lugano was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Fidelio Haller to maneuver through the defense. If Wawrzyniec Komanski had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Benedykt Siedlecki fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dieter Gärtner having to interfere. Dieter Gärtner stood somewhat misplaced when Benedykt Siedlecki came free in front of goal and shot 1-0 to the left of him in the 36 minute. Dieter Gärtner made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Krzysztof Filipowski in the 39th minute of play. Tolek Juroszek had several of the FC Lugano's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 43 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 2-0 score and a disappointed Dieter Gärtner as he didn't even see the shot coming. In the 47th match minute, FC Lugano was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Urbano Schermann to maneuver through the defense. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

The wind increased when Pornsak Seearamrungruang made the kick off in the second half. After a rather tough play, FC Wieliczka's Witomir Wojtowicz got a free kick in the 52nd minute. Ulric Donsante charged in rather forcefully in the 53rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ulric Donsante the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to FC Lugano getting a freekick after 53 minutes play. Ulric Donsante hit a great ball. Krzysztof Filipowski struck a weak shot in the 58th minute. Dieter Gärtner didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for FC Wieliczka. Urbano Schermann hit a great freekick 59 minutes into the match. Krzysztof Filipowski sent away a hard shot on goal in the 67th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 69 minutes into the match, FC Lugano's goal looked a bit too open when Tolek Juroszek came free, but Dieter Gärtner reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 70th minute FC Wieliczka were awarded a corner. Tolek Juroszek went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner ended in Tolek Juroszek almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but FC Lugano's Dieter Gärtner did a great save. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Benedykt Siedlecki in the 70th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Dieter Gärtner prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Krzysztof Filipowski struck a weak shot in the 71st minute. Dieter Gärtner didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for FC Wieliczka. A collision led to FC Wieliczka getting a freekick after 80 minutes play. Krzysztof Filipowski hit a great ball. In the 82nd minute Pornsak Seearamrungruang shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mieszko Wielgopolski saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Dieter Gärtner showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tolek Juroszek, who was totally free with the ball in the 87th minute. After a rather tough play, FC Lugano's Fidelio Haller got a free kick in the 89th minute. 89 minutes into the match, FC Wieliczka's Tolek Juroszek broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Benedykt Siedlecki received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 92nd minute. Dieter Gärtner tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Krzysztof Filipowski blasted a shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Dieter Gärtner having to make a save. Dieter Gärtner came out of the goal in the 95th minute to try and stop a shot by FC Wieliczka's Krzysztof Filipowski. But to his dismay, Krzysztof Filipowski quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 5-0. There was no doubt that FC Wieliczka were the better team. FC Wieliczka's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
