But to his dismay, Şevket Çağa quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Brent Nelleboedske in the 19th minute of play forced Acercate Y Patea de Lejos's goalkeeper Godfredo Crescencio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Godfredo Crescencio prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 26 minutes into the match, Club Brugge's goal looked a bit too open when Bernardino Baumar came free, but Stein Spoelberch reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by 孔磊傲 in the 28th minute of play forced Acercate Y Patea de Lejos's goalkeeper Godfredo Crescencio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Stein Spoelberch made a fantastic save in the 30th minute, when Bernardino Baumar sent off a good shot on target. After 42 played minutes Club Brugge got a freekick which was hit by 孔磊傲. When Brent Nelleboedske came up free with the goalie in the 47th minute, the Club Brugge fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Brent Nelleboedske couldn't finish the play. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and 孔磊傲 made a kick off. A collision led to Acercate Y Patea de Lejos getting a freekick after 52 minutes play. Justino Montes hit a great ball. Henning Ekström recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 53rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Justino Montes hit a great freekick 56 minutes into the match. Club Brugge's King Eken was substituted for Şevket Çağa. After a rather tough play, Acercate Y Patea de Lejos's Justino Montes got a free kick in the 58th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 59th minute, Henning Ekström managed to get in a good position for a shot. Club Brugge's supporters rose to their feet, but Henning Ekström was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Godfredo Crescencio breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Stein Spoelberch showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ramiro Florinio, who was totally free with the ball in the 67th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Bernardino Baumar in the 69th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Stein Spoelberch saved Club Brugge from getting behind. In the 71st match minute, Acercate Y Patea de Lejos was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gerardo Balendin to maneuver through the defense. Gerardo Balendin hit a great freekick 72 minutes into the match. In the 82nd minute, Bernardino Baumar hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Jan-Simon Elsen received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 83rd minute. Godfredo Crescencio tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 91st minute Jan-Simon Elsen shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Godfredo Crescencio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Stein Spoelberch showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bernardino Baumar in the 95th minute of the match. 96 minutes into the game, Jan-Simon Elsen cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-4. Godfredo Crescencio was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Club Brugge played a much better game than Acercate Y Patea de Lejos and deserved their victory. The Acercate Y Patea de Lejos players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
