Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Armand Mondon to strike the kick off in the second half. When Sven-Arne Berglund fell near the penalty area in the 93rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Aro FC's protests and gave Sven-Arne Berglund a yellow card for diving instead. The Aro FC players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
