Germano Carmona made an important save on a dangerous shot by Kent Stenman in the 17th minute. Germano Carmona showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luis Tonete in the 19th minute of the match. 20 minutes into the match, Ovidio Favila had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Germano Carmona. Stars Academy's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Ovidio Favila was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. Stars Academy's Germano Carmona played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luis Tonete in the 23rd minute of play. The crowd rose to their feet as GUSESI's Ovidio Favila slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Germano Carmona. That made the score 2-0 after 29 minutes of play. Germano Carmona made a fantastic save in the 33rd minute, when Kent Stenman sent off a good shot on target. In the 38th minute, Kent Stenman hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Luis Tonete had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Germano Carmona came out of the goal in the 47th minute to try and stop a shot by GUSESI's Kent Stenman. But to his dismay, Kent Stenman quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Kent Stenman was the one to do the kick off. Germano Carmona made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kent Stenman in the 53rd minute of play. After some careless play in the Stars Academy defense, Ovidio Favila kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Germano Carmona. The Stars Academy fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Germano Carmona should have stopped the shot. 64 minutes into the match, GUSESI's goal looked a bit too open when Jairo Carrasqueira came free, but Thibaut Courtois reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 66th minute, Luis Tonete ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Germano Carmona was frozen by the shot and now it was 7-0. In the 74th minute, Carolo Rodas hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ovidio Favila took the ball and in the 76 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Germano Carmona. Germano Carmona dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 8-0. 81 minutes into the game, GUSESI's Carmelo Sanduru nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. GUSESI's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
