An unexpectedly hard shot by Florencio Herbella in the 39th minute of play forced Stars Academy's goalkeeper Germano Carmona to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Germano Carmona took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Florencio Herbella, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 46th minute, Florencio Herbella made a precise shot to the right of Germano Carmona. Stars Academy's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-6. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-6 lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Américo Albuquerque made a kick off. In the 52nd minute, Atletico Maturrango's Florencio Herbella ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Germano Carmona. In the 59th minute, Florencio Herbella ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Germano Carmona was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-9. A collision led to Atletico Maturrango getting a freekick after 62 minutes play. Antonio Salmanton hit a great ball. 63 minutes into the match, Atletico Maturrango's goal looked a bit too open when Bento Perdigão came free, but Weather Piedrahita reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some careless play in the Stars Academy defense, Florencio Herbella kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Germano Carmona.
