An unexpectedly hard shot by Joel Ferrer in the 12th minute of play forced FC SZAFIRY's goalkeeper Feliks Wielkopolski to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 17th minute, Ke Xiong Chen ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Feliks Wielkopolski was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-0. The crowd rose to their feet as Davor Šuker kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Feliks Wielkopolski. That made the score 4-0 in the 20 minute of play. FC SZAFIRY's Feliks Wielkopolski played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ke Xiong Chen in the 23rd minute of play. The FC SZAFIRY fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Feliks Wielkopolski should have stopped the shot. 30 minutes into the match, FC SZAFIRY's goal looked a bit too open when Davor Šuker came free, but Feliks Wielkopolski reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. FC SZAFIRY's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Vintilă Ghițulescu was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 10-0. But to his dismay, Vintilă Ghițulescu quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 11-0. 63 minutes into the match, Ke Xiong Chen had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Feliks Wielkopolski. In the 66th minute, Cedro Pantoja hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Sporting Burgas made a substitution. Antonio Fioriti replaced Vintilă Ghițulescu. The Sporting Burgas fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 18-0. In the 95th minute Cedro Pantoja shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Feliks Wielkopolski saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
