The ball went over the crossbar instead. 12 minutes into the match, Amputees FC's goal looked a bit too open when Fotis Melas came free, but Dean Watts reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Panagiotis Kissas stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Abraham Laing's shot from short distance in the 15th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Marcus Roach in the 17th minute of play forced Lipochσrion FC's goalkeeper Panagiotis Kissas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Lipochσrion FC's Fotis Melas got a good chance for a goal in the 18th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. A hard shot 20 in the game by Fotis Melas from a close distance when the talented Dean Watts managed to make a qualified save. Amputees FC's players were relieved. Dean Watts stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Fotis Melas's shot from short distance in the 24th minute. The supporters of Lipochσrion FC booed when Amputees FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 32 match minutes in a wonderful position. Art Kidman didn't get a good kick on the ball. Dean Watts didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Fotis Melas went, in the 33rd minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. Dean Watts made a fantastic save in the 37th minute, when Necat Baysal sent off a good shot on target. 39 minutes into the match, Amputees FC's goalkeeper Dean Watts had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Fotis Melas. 46 minutes into the match, Abraham Laing notched a goal, 2-1, to the right of Lipochσrion FC's Panagiotis Kissas. Panagiotis Kissas was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-1 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Fotis Melas to strike the kick off in the second half. After a defensive mix-up in Amputees FC's zone, Aleksander Brzakala stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Dean Watts came out of the goal and Aleksander Brzakala tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 56th minute Fotis Melas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dean Watts saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Aleksander Brzakala had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Fotis Melas's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Dean Watts read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 58th minute of play. After having played for 61 minutes, Carleton Howie managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Amputees FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Carleton Howie was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Carleton Howie could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 64th minute of the match, but Panagiotis Kissas made a huge save. In the 70th minute, Aleksander Brzakala made a precise shot to the right of Dean Watts. Amputees FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-1. After a rather tough play, Amputees FC's Art Kidman got a free kick in the 73rd minute. After 75 minutes, Emrah Alatay mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Lipochσrion FC and the Amputees FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Marcus Roach could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 76th minute of the match, but Panagiotis Kissas made a huge save. After 78 minutes, Fotis Melas made it 4-1 with a short kick to the right side. Amputees FC's Dean Watts tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Thanos Agapoulis's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Dean Watts read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 82nd minute of play. In the 85th match minute, Lipochσrion FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ilias Mavrokordatos to maneuver through the defense. Dean Watts showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fotis Melas, who was totally free with the ball in the 88th minute. In the 89th minute of the match Lipochσrion FC got a corner. Amputees FC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Emrah Alatay ran over to the corner to take the kick. Necat Baysal made a great header on Lipochσrion FC's corner, it was just that Amputees FC's Dean Watts managed to reach the ball for a save. The crowd rose to their feet as Amputees FC's Abraham Laing slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Panagiotis Kissas. That made the score 4-2 after 94 minutes of play. Lipochσrion FC's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
