The throw-in from Berne Royans in the 15th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Invictus FC's Marnix De Vorster. Sean Mallecots's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Dean Watts read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 16th minute of play. Berne Royans made in the 18th minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Carleton Howie however managed to control. The supporters of Invictus FC booed when Amputees FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 21 match minutes in a wonderful position. Berne Royans didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 30th minute, Sean Mallecots made a precise shot to the right of Dean Watts. Amputees FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-0. 34 minutes into the match, Sean Mallecots notched a goal, 4-0, to the right of Amputees FC's Dean Watts. Dean Watts was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Marcus Roach might have been able to make a better finish in the 41st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Eddy Stoorms. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Marcus Roach ran back to his position shaking his head. When Sean Mallecots came up free with the goalie in the 43rd minute, the Invictus FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Sean Mallecots couldn't finish the play. Berne Royans made in the 45th minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Carleton Howie. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Sean Mallecots made a kick off. In the 52nd minute Invictus FC were awarded a corner. Rafet Şikel went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner went over the outstretched arms of Amputees FC's goalie and right to Sean Mallecots. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. Amputees FC's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. Art Kidman charged in rather forcefully in the 55th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Art Kidman the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 54th minute of the game. One of Amputees FC:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Invictus FC:s goal. 56 minutes into the game, Rafet Şikel cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 5-0. Dean Watts was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 58th minute, Sean Mallecots left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Invictus FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 6-0. Sean Mallecots recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 61st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Dean Watts showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sean Mallecots in the 63rd minute of the match. 65 minutes into the match, Abraham Laing had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Eddy Stoorms. Invictus FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Abraham Laing was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 6-1. If Emanuel Lundgren had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Sean Mallecots came up free with the goalie in the 72nd minute, the Invictus FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Sean Mallecots couldn't finish the play. Invictus FC's Octaaf Van der Meiren was substituted for Alexander Hendrickx. In the 77th minute, Berne Royans hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Sean Mallecots received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 81st minute. Dean Watts tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 86th minute, Sean Mallecots made a precise shot to the right of Dean Watts. Amputees FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 7-1. In the 89th minute, Sean Mallecots left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Invictus FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 8-1. After 94 played minutes Amputees FC got a freekick which was hit by Lauder Franklin. 95 minutes into the game, Sean Mallecots cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 9-1. Dean Watts was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Invictus FC were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Amputees FC for a fine match.
