The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Sverker Wennersten helped the player get up and apologised. In the 14th match minute, GNUSKALLARNA was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sverker Wennersten to maneuver through the defense. In the 15th minute of the match Ed Royans sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but 狄迪烽 skillfully saved the ball. Torsten Hammarberg kicked well hit freekick during the 17th minute of the match. In the 18th minute Abraham Laing shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but 狄迪烽 saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 22 minutes GNUSKALLARNA's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Ed Royans who took care of the corner kick. In the 27th minute Amputees FC were awarded a corner. Ed Royans went to the cornerflag to take it. After 31 played minutes Amputees FC got a freekick which was hit by Art Kidman. Dean Watts showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from William Shakespeare, who was totally free with the ball in the 34th minute. In the 36thth minute of the game Abraham Laing who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but GNUSKALLARNA's 狄迪烽 was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 38th minute of the match Amputees FC got a corner. GNUSKALLARNA's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Ed Royans ran over to the corner to take the kick. Abraham Laings short, quick shot in the 40thth minute got 狄迪烽 to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Abraham Laing in the 41st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck 狄迪烽 prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The supporters of GNUSKALLARNA booed when Amputees FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 42 match minutes in a wonderful position. Art Kidman didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Abraham Laing to make the kick off.
