In the 2nd minute, Armindo Barcelos hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Through an outstanding action, after 4 minutes, Salvador Sordo successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Agustin Txatxu could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 9th minute of the match, but Salvador Sordo made a huge save. Eureka's Salvador Sordo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nazil Canay in the 18th minute of play. Guns And Roses were awarded a corner in the 20th minute after Eureka's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Segundo Bordat took the corner. Guns And Roses's Segundo Bordat was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Salvador Sordo in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. After 23 minutes, Agustin Txatxu mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Guns And Roses and the Eureka players grew even worse after the yellow card. Eustacio Misael made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dário Colaço in the 42nd minute of play. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Laureano Portugal to make the kick off. Salvador Sordo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Agustin Txatxu in the 53rd minute of play. The audience was convinced that Nazil Canay's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Salvador Sordo was relentless in the 57th minute of the game. Salvador Sordo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nazil Canay, who was totally free with the ball in the 60th minute. Lukas Podolski ran back to his position shaking his head. Paulo Moutinho hit a great freekick 73 minutes into the match. Guns And Roses's Lukas Podolski got a good chance for a goal in the 74th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Valentim Castilho could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 77th minute of the match, but Eustacio Misael made a huge save. In the 81st minute, Valentim Castilho left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Eureka fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Eustacio Misael made a fantastic save in the 89th minute, when Quintino Lobo sent off a good shot on target. Salvador Sordo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lukas Podolski in the 92nd minute of play.
