With an all-out effort, FC Hugo's Alisson Goycochea threw himself towards the right post 27 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Ailar Aal, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. INTERNACIONAL DA BAHIA's Alisson Goycochea played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ailar Aal in the 27th minute of play. Through an outstanding action, after 31 minutes, Alisson Goycochea successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Ailar Aal made in the 32nd minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by INTERNACIONAL DA BAHIA's Gerson Rezende. 33 minutes into the match, FC Hugo's goal looked a bit too open when Lucas Head Son came free, but Illimar Sulg reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 35 minutes into the match, INTERNACIONAL DA BAHIA's Lucas Head Son sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Illimar Sulg narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The corner led INTERNACIONAL DA BAHIA's Nilmar de Souza to fire away a dangerous shot which Illimar Sulg despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. A nice corner shot did that Maarek Nisu got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Alisson Goycochea quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Lucas Head Son in the 44th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Illimar Sulg prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 46th minute INTERNACIONAL DA BAHIA were awarded a corner. Nilmar de Souza went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner went over the outstretched arms of FC Hugo's goalie and right to Carlo Gamarra. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. FC Hugo's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

In the 50th minute Taavi Kapsi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alisson Goycochea saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Lucas Head Son's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Illimar Sulg read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 53rd minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in FC Hugo's zone, Lucas Head Son stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Illimar Sulg came out of the goal and Lucas Head Son tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Franklin Velloso kicked well hit freekick during the 59th minute of the match. INTERNACIONAL DA BAHIA's Frank Linhares managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Ailar Aal in the 63 minute of the game. In the 68th minute of the game Andre Ülavere made a throw-in which Taavi Kapsi played forward. 76 minutes into the match, FC Hugo's goal looked a bit too open when Lucas Head Son came free, but Illimar Sulg reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 78 minutes into the match, INTERNACIONAL DA BAHIA's goal looked a bit too open when Maarek Nisu came free, but Alisson Goycochea reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 79th minute Maarek Nisu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alisson Goycochea saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Robert Ojamäe in the 80th minute of play forced INTERNACIONAL DA BAHIA's goalkeeper Alisson Goycochea to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With his leg Illimar Sulg managed to avoid a goal in the 91stth minute, when INTERNACIONAL DA BAHIA's Lucas Head Son fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. When Lucas Head Son got free in front of the goal in the 91st minute he wasn't very focused and chipped the ball just over the goal. Illimar Sulg was delighted since he was out of position and the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. For all the effort they put into the match, the INTERNACIONAL DA BAHIA players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for FC Hugo.
