Quitilipi's Saul Suarez played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ruben Ubarna in the 25th minute of play. Saul Suarez took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fernando Barreiros, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 29 minutes into the match, Quitilipi's goal looked a bit too open when Tomás Romo came free, but Saul Suarez reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Fernando Barreiros had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Saul Suarez came out of the goal in the 46th minute to try and stop a shot by RED DEVIL's Fernando Barreiros. But to his dismay, Fernando Barreiros quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Fernando Barreiros stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Quitilipi's Hermengildo Ibon managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Dalmacio Etxeberri in the 69 minute of the game. In the 69th match minute, RED DEVIL was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ruben Ubarna to maneuver through the defense. 74 minutes into the game, Cayetano Bazkoare was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Quitilipi's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave RED DEVIL the free kick. In the 78th minute, Quitilipi's Chicão Angelsø seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Chicão Angelsø the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Quitilipi protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Chicão Angelsø had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. 78 minutes into the game, one of Quitilipi:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. If Serafino Flores had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
