A collision led to C.A Gryffindor getting a freekick after 6 minutes play. Nikos Prattis hit a great ball. In the 12th minute, Yara Poland's Oyedeji Rau dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-0. Jacinto Quirino fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bartosz Komanski having to interfere. Bartosz Komanski made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jacinto Quirino in the 18th minute of play. 22 minutes into the match, C.A Gryffindor's goalkeeper Chicão de Azevedo had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Jaroslaw Kaczynski. Chicão de Azevedo was out of position in the 23 minute of play, and Felix Fanøe capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Felix Fanøe really showed his touch with that goal: 2-0. C.A Gryffindor were awarded a corner in the 28th minute after Yara Poland's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Karl-Erik Magnusson took the corner. If Felix Fanøe had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jaroslaw Kaczynski in the 37th minute of play forced C.A Gryffindor's goalkeeper Chicão de Azevedo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. C.A Gryffindor's Chicão de Azevedo proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 40th minute of the match, managed to save C.A Gryffindor from getting a goal against them. Yara Poland's Bartosz Komanski played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Marquinhos Filho in the 44th minute of play. Bartosz Komanski showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Edgard Mangueira, who was totally free with the ball in the 46th minute.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Felix Fanøe made a kick off. Armando Barrera hit a great freekick 53 minutes into the match. In the 64th minute, Armando Barrera hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some fancy dribbling in the 67th minute, Felix Fanøe managed to get in a good position for a shot. Yara Poland's supporters rose to their feet, but Felix Fanøe was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Chicão de Azevedo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 72nd minute Jacinto Quirino shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bartosz Komanski saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. C.A Gryffindor's Paredes Pedrera was substituted for Marquinhos Filho. The supporters of Yara Poland booed when C.A Gryffindor was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 74 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tomé de Alcântara didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a rather tough play, Yara Poland's Durval Marques got a free kick in the 80th minute. Bartosz Komanski took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Guilherme Mazer, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.
