The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Halvor Dokken hit a great freekick 4 minutes into the match. 9 minutes into the match, Jaroslaw Kaczynski had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Sturle Åsland. Åsnes's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Jaroslaw Kaczynski was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. Sturle Åsland took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jaroslaw Kaczynski, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Sturle Åsland showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Edward Szpakowski in the 16th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Åsnes's zone, John Carew stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Sturle Åsland came out of the goal and John Carew tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 20th minute Yara Poland were awarded a corner. Jaroslaw Kaczynski went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner ended in Jaroslaw Kaczynski almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Åsnes's Sturle Åsland did a great save. Sturle Åsland stood somewhat misplaced when John Carew came free in front of goal and shot 2-0 to the left of him in the 23 minute. After a rather tough play, Åsnes's Halvor Dokken got a free kick in the 25th minute. The supporters of Yara Poland booed when Åsnes was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 26 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dan Ødegaard didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 30th match minute, Yara Poland was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by John Carew to maneuver through the defense. 37 minutes into the match, Jaroslaw Kaczynski had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Sturle Åsland. Åsnes's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Oyedeji Rau was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 11-0. Sturle Åsland made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jaroslaw Kaczynski in the 95th minute of play. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Yara Poland had played much better football throughout.
