Torcato Rebocho was slow to take the kick. During this time Garanhão do SUL's players had a chance to rest. The corner ended in Torcato Rebocho almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Volvio Moreno's Manuel Loren did a great save. With a little luck, Garanhão do SUL's Ignatius Casasola got control of the ball when Godfredo Gau tried to sneak it across the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Silverio Barrionuevo in the 15th minute of play forced Garanhão do SUL's goalkeeper Ignatius Casasola to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 17 minutes into the match, Volvio Moreno's goal looked a bit too open when Edgar Costa came free, but Manuel Loren reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 18th minute Garanhão do SUL were awarded a corner. Torcato Rebocho went to the cornerflag to take it. Godfredo Gau showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. 26 minutes into the match, Garanhão do SUL's goalkeeper Ignatius Casasola had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Godfredo Gau. Garanhão do SUL were awarded a corner in the 29th minute after Volvio Moreno's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Torcato Rebocho took the corner. Edgar Costa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 31st minute. Manuel Loren tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After having played for 38 minutes, André Roriz managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Garanhão do SUL's supporters crossed their fingers, but André Roriz was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 45 minutes of play, Garanhão do SUL's Torcato Rebocho made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Manuel Loren was left in no man's land by his defense there! After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Edgar Costa to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 53rd minute, André Roriz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The corner ended in André Roriz almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Volvio Moreno's Manuel Loren did a great save. 59 minutes into the game, André Roriz lined in a short shot 1-2 behind a frustrated Manuel Loren. 62 minutes into the match, Garanhão do SUL's goal looked a bit too open when Godfredo Gau came free, but Ignatius Casasola reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Garanhão do SUL's Ignatius Casasola played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Godfredo Gau in the 63rd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by João Carlos Porto in the 65th minute of play forced Garanhão do SUL's goalkeeper Ignatius Casasola to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ignatius Casasola stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Godfredo Gau's shot from short distance in the 73rd minute. Manuel Loren made a fantastic save in the 74th minute, when Obafemi Fabiani sent off a good shot on target. When Volvio Moreno's Godfredo Gau in the 77th minute got a chance for a shot 77th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Garanhão do SUL's goalie prevented a goal. Fábio Lobato hit a great freekick 82 minutes into the match. Ignatius Casasola showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Godfredo Gau, who was totally free with the ball in the 84th minute. 86 minutes into the match, Garanhão do SUL's goal looked a bit too open when Godfredo Gau came free, but Ignatius Casasola reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Albano Leizarraga got free with Manuel Loren in the 89th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Manuel Loren showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Obafemi Fabiani in the 92nd minute of the match. Volvio Moreno were clearly unhappy with the draw, as they felt they had done enough to earn themselves a victory.
