Serafino Pancho made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. In the 12th minute, Damian Heriberto got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Santos Guillen made a fantastic save in the 16th minute, when Juan Fernando Pratto sent off a good shot on target. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Juan Fernando Pratto in the 16th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Santos Guillen prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Serafino Pancho showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Damian Heriberto, who was totally free with the ball in the 21st minute. Santos Guillen showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Carmelo Tiniebra in the 22nd minute of the match. Santos Guillen took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Luis María Guadalupe, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Damian Heriberto blasted a shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Serafino Pancho having to make a save. Serafino Pancho made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Damian Heriberto in the 26th minute of play. In the 29th minute A Sку Fυℓℓ σf Sтαяѕ ☆ were awarded a corner. Luís Fabiano Cavalcante went to the cornerflag to take it. At last the ball reached Damian Heriberto at the corner, ending with a kick to difficult to stop for the goalkeeper of Santa Fe. 0-3. Serafino Pancho showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Damian Heriberto in the 32nd minute of the match. In the 33rd minute, Steve Rogers hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a rather tough play, A Sку Fυℓℓ σf Sтαяѕ ☆'s Ladislao Salvator got a free kick in the 34th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Santa Fe's zone, Damian Heriberto stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Serafino Pancho came out of the goal and Damian Heriberto tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Damian Heriberto recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 43rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After the first half A Sку Fυℓℓ σf Sтαяѕ ☆ were leading 1-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

A Sку Fυℓℓ σf Sтαяѕ ☆'s Guido Ricart was substituted for Ladislao Salvator. In the 57th minute Carmelo Tiniebra shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Santos Guillen saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Serafino Pancho made an important save on a dangerous shot by Elvio Abreu in the 58th minute. With a little luck, Santa Fe's Serafino Pancho got control of the ball when Damian Heriberto tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 63rd minute Rafael Ramos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Santos Guillen saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 65 minutes of play, A Sку Fυℓℓ σf Sтαяѕ ☆'s Damian Heriberto made it 1-4 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Serafino Pancho was left in no man's land by his defense there! Damian Heriberto could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 77th minute of the match, but Serafino Pancho made a huge save. Santos Guillen made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Carmelo Tiniebra in the 78th minute of play. Santa Fe's Serafino Pancho played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Damian Heriberto in the 84th minute of play.
