With his leg Nando Muslera managed to avoid a goal in the 16thth minute, when Bahía é Carnaval's Desiderio Demario fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. If Jacinto Rosio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Desiderio Demario came free with the goalkeeper in the 19th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Nando Muslera could save by the left post. Jacinto Rosio hit a great freekick 22 minutes into the match. Desiderio Demario fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nando Muslera having to interfere. A collision led to Bahía é Carnaval getting a freekick after 28 minutes play. Jacinto Rosio hit a great ball. If Erubiel Gaitan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 34th minute, Jacinto Rosio made a precise shot to the right of Nando Muslera. VaRıNcA ÇaLdıR iStaNbuL's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. Through an outstanding action, after 42 minutes, Nando Muslera successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Jacinto Rosio stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. When Yunus Boztepe fell near the penalty area in the 52nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored VaRıNcA ÇaLdıR iStaNbuL's protests and gave Yunus Boztepe a yellow card for diving instead. In the 52nd minute, Yunus Boztepe hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Nando Muslera stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Desiderio Demario's shot from short distance in the 54th minute. In the 58th minute, Jacinto Rosio got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After having played for 60 minutes, Erenay Mutluer managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. VaRıNcA ÇaLdıR iStaNbuL's supporters crossed their fingers, but Erenay Mutluer was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Nando Muslera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Erubiel Gaitan in the 62nd minute of play. Nando Muslera showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jacinto Rosio, who was totally free with the ball in the 64th minute. Cenap Eröz's late challenge caught a Bahía é Carnaval's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Cenap Eröz helped the player get up and apologised. Desiderio Demario struck a weak shot in the 67th minute. Nando Muslera didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Bahía é Carnaval. After some fancy dribbling in the 79th minute, Jacinto Rosio managed to get in a good position for a shot. Bahía é Carnaval's supporters rose to their feet, but Jacinto Rosio was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Nando Muslera breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. VaRıNcA ÇaLdıR iStaNbuL's Nando Muslera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Desiderio Demario in the 80th minute of play.
