Ruperto Rainerio came out of the goal in the 6th minute to try and stop a shot by Majadita FC's Harry Deckberg. But to his dismay, Harry Deckberg quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. After some fancy dribbling in the 14th minute, Constantino Anaya managed to get in a good position for a shot. Leon Platense's supporters rose to their feet, but Constantino Anaya was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Federico Reyes breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Edgar Ahlgren was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 23 minutes into the match. 27 minutes into the match, Leon Platense's goalkeeper Ruperto Rainerio had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Mauro Izotz. An unexpectedly hard shot by Melquiades Esiquio in the 36th minute of play forced Leon Platense's goalkeeper Ruperto Rainerio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of Leon Platense booed when Majadita FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 38 match minutes in a wonderful position. Melquiades Ihazintu didn't get a good kick on the ball. Federico Reyes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hernán Leandro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience thought a goal was coming when Melquiades Esiquio got free with Ruperto Rainerio in the 40th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. With a little luck, Leon Platense's Ruperto Rainerio got control of the ball when Enrique Charro tried to sneak it across the goal line. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

After some fancy dribbling in the 54th minute, Melquiades Esiquio managed to get in a good position for a shot. Majadita FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Melquiades Esiquio was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Leon Platense's Gonzalo Adrio was substituted for Teodoro Honrio. Majadita FC's Robustiano Macerio was substituted for Mauro Izotz. After 57 played minutes Leon Platense got a freekick which was hit by João Francisco Vidal. In the 57th minute of the match Pablo Guipuzkoa shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Ruperto Rainerio showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Constantino Anaya might have been able to make a better finish in the 68th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Federico Reyes. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Constantino Anaya ran back to his position shaking his head. Leon Platense's Klaas Alberts was substituted for Alfonso Kemen. Ruperto Rainerio showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Robustiano Macerio in the 73rd minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Hernán Leandro got free with Federico Reyes in the 76th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Leon Platense's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Constantino Anaya in the 77th minute. Ruperto Rainerio showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Harry Deckberg, who was totally free with the ball in the 79th minute. The supporters of Majadita FC booed when Leon Platense was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 81 match minutes in a wonderful position. Celso Havier didn't get a good kick on the ball. Robustiano Macerio scored 2-0 in the 88th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Ruperto Rainerio, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Constantino Anaya recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 94th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal.
