SORRISO E. C.'s manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Skull Sport F.C the free kick. In the 4th match minute, SORRISO E. C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cléber da Costa to maneuver through the defense. SORRISO E. C.'s Caco Azevedo proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 6th minute of the match, managed to save SORRISO E. C. from getting a goal against them. 8 minutes into the match, Skull Sport F.C's goal looked a bit too open when Cléber da Costa came free, but Jimmy Lundin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 10 minutes into the match, Murilo Prestes notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Skull Sport F.C's Jimmy Lundin. Jimmy Lundin was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Skull Sport F.C's Jimmy Lundin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cléber da Costa in the 12th minute of play. When SORRISO E. Cui Xiang Zhen struck a weak shot in the 22nd minute. Caco Azevedo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Skull Sport F.C. Murilo Prestes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jimmy Lundin having to interfere. Murilo Prestes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 25th minute. Jimmy Lundin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Valério Pires got a throw-in 27 minutes in the game and the ball was received by João Augusto Barral. In the 30th minute the ball was on its way in behind SORRISO E. C.'s goalkeeper Caco Azevedo, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Murilo Prestes took the ball and in the 32 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Jimmy Lundin. Jimmy Lundin dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. The referee felt a red card was in order, 36 minutes into the game, when Per Lindholm put in a rough tackle. 36 minutes into the game, one of Skull Sport F.C:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. The referee gave SORRISO E. C. a penalty, 39 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Murilo Prestes, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Skull Sport F.C's Jimmy Lundin. 0-3. After the first half SORRISO E. C. were leading 0-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Robert Levandowsky stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Murilo Prestes in the 62nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jimmy Lundin prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 64 minutes of play SORRISO E. C.'s Cléber da Costa was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. After 65 played minutes SORRISO E. C. got a freekick which was hit by Cléber da Costa. With an all-out effort, SORRISO E. C.'s Jimmy Lundin threw himself towards the right post 67 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Murilo Prestes, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. The audience thought a goal was coming when Murilo Prestes got free with Jimmy Lundin in the 70th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Caco Azevedo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Robert Levandowsky in the 73rd minute of the match. If Murilo Prestes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 82 minutes in the game, Murilo Prestes fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Jimmy Lundin having to interfere. Murilo Prestes's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jimmy Lundin read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 85th minute of play. After a rather tough play, SORRISO E. C.'s Amadeu de Mendonça got a free kick in the 86th minute. Murilo Prestes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 91st minute. Jimmy Lundin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The SORRISO E. C. supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing SORRISO E. C. would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
