An unexpectedly hard shot by Frédson Freddie in the 8th minute of play forced XV de Piracicaba's goalkeeper Fonso Zotillo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ergün Şener took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Severino Capixaba, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 14 minutes NoWayOut's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Wen Yong Sha who took care of the corner kick. Fonso Zotillo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Pascal Klingen in the 15th minute of play. Ergün Şener showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Severino Capixaba in the 17th minute of the match. Frédson Freddie scored 2-0 in the 20th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Fonso Zotillo, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Fonso Zotillo made an important save on a dangerous shot by Zülfü Yalazay in the 26th minute. Zülfü Yalazays short, quick shot in the 33rdth minute got Fonso Zotillo to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in.
