The crowd rose to their feet as Forever Tango's Paolo Péron slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Fonso Zotillo. That made the score 1-0 after 5 minutes of play. After a rather tough play, Forever Tango's Sixto Gaxan got a free kick in the 8th minute. Wen Yong Sha struck a weak shot in the 9th minute. Juan Giraldo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for XV de Piracicaba. Juan Giraldo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Remo Goiano in the 12th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in XV de Piracicaba's zone, Paolo Péron stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Fonso Zotillo came out of the goal and Paolo Péron tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 17th minute of the match Wen Yong Sha sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Juan Giraldo skillfully saved the ball. Gonzalo Jurdan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 20th minute. Juan Giraldo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Fonso Zotillo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Paolo Péron in the 23rd minute of the match. In the 25th minute of the match, Juan Raúl Amuchástegui got a very nice opportunity to score, but Fonso Zotillo was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. After a defensive mix-up in Forever Tango's zone, Murillo Trigo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Juan Giraldo came out of the goal and Murillo Trigo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Severino Capixaba scored 1-1 in the 29th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Juan Giraldo, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 32 minutes into the game, XV de Piracicaba's Remo Goiano nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Juan Giraldo made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-2. In the 34th minute, Bernardo Veronica hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 35 minutes into the match, Forever Tango's goal looked a bit too open when Gonzalo Jurdan came free, but Juan Giraldo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Forever Tango's Juan Giraldo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Remo Goiano in the 36th minute of play. Juan Giraldo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gonzalo Jurdan, who was totally free with the ball in the 40th minute. After 40th play minutes Gonzalo Jurdan shot 1-3, a short shot which went by Juan Giraldo and just under the crossbar into goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Severino Capixaba in the 44th minute of play forced Forever Tango's goalkeeper Juan Giraldo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 47 minutes into the game, Gonzalo Jurdan was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. XV de Piracicaba's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Forever Tango the free kick. The supporters of Forever Tango booed when XV de Piracicaba was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 48 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gonzalo Jurdan didn't get a good kick on the ball. The Forever Tango players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. XV de Piracicaba were winning 1-3.

After having played for 75 minutes, Paolo Péron managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Forever Tango's supporters crossed their fingers, but Paolo Péron was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The supporters of XV de Piracicaba booed when Forever Tango was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 79 match minutes in a wonderful position. Igor Berdaitz didn't get a good kick on the ball. Thomas Melse fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 84th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fonso Zotillo having to interfere. Fonso Zotillo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Thomas Melse in the 87th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Severino Capixaba got free with Juan Giraldo in the 89th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The Forever Tango fans' excitement grew in the 93rd match minute when Forever Tango's Thomas Melse looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 2-4 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene.
