In the 5th minute Yevgen Sokolyanskyi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Osmar Antunes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Yevgen Sokolyanskyi could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 9th minute of the match, but Osmar Antunes made a huge save. 14 minutes into the match, XV de Indaial's Ovidio Raymundo sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Marjan Yatsenko narrowly saved just below the crossbar. If Klement Mnich had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ovidio Raymundo in the 25th minute of play forced F.C. SPERANTZA's goalkeeper Marjan Yatsenko to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 27 minutes into the match, XV de Indaial's goalkeeper Osmar Antunes had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Roman Sobko. Marjan Yatsenko made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ovidio Raymundo in the 43rd minute of play. With an all-out effort, F.C. SPERANTZA's Osmar Antunes threw himself towards the right post 45 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Klement Mnich, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The wind increased when Klement Mnich made the kick off in the second half. Osmar Antunes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Yevgen Sokolyanskyi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Roman Sobko's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Osmar Antunes read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 60th minute of play. After 61 played minutes XV de Indaial got a freekick which was hit by Josué Galvão.
