The audience was convinced that Pedro Olguín's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Louie Hicks was relentless in the 4th minute of the game. 8 minutes into the game, Pedro Olguín cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Louie Hicks was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. When the match had gone on for 12 minutes, Pedro Olguín took a quick shot and it went in 2-0 without a chance for Louie Hicks to make any attempt to save it. The supporters of Torreoncito booed when Wakefield Wanderers was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 15 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fraser Bond didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Pedro Olguín had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. With a little luck, Wakefield Wanderers's Louie Hicks got control of the ball when Pedro Olguín tried to sneak it across the goal line. The crowd rose to their feet as Torreoncito's Pedro Olguín slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Louie Hicks. That made the score 3-0 after 19 minutes of play. Pedro Olguín had several of the Wakefield Wanderers's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 22 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 4-0 score and a disappointed Louie Hicks as he didn't even see the shot coming. 25 minutes into the game, Pedro Olguín recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Louie Hicks. Pedro Olguín showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 5-0. Pedro Olguíns short, quick shot in the 28thth minute got Louie Hicks to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. 29 minutes into the match, Pedro Olguín had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Louie Hicks. Wakefield Wanderers's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Pedro Olguín was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 6-0. A throw-in in the 36th minute of the game was made by Fraser Bond with Conan Blake as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. When the match had gone on for 37 minutes, Pedro Olguín took a quick shot and it went in 8-0 without a chance for Louie Hicks to make any attempt to save it. Louie Hicks made a fantastic save in the 46th minute, when Ara Gostev sent off a good shot on target. Torreoncito's Elodio Faine was substituted for Robert Dănescu. Torreoncito's Lucas Bünzli was substituted for Pedro Olguín.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Elodio Faine made a kick off. 55 minutes into the game, Elodio Faine cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 11-0. Louie Hicks was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Louie Hicks came out of the goal in the 64th minute to try and stop a shot by Torreoncito's Elodio Faine. But to his dismay, Elodio Faine quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 13-0. In the 66th match minute, Wakefield Wanderers was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Fraser Bond to maneuver through the defense. Adolf Uchiha, 67 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Torreoncito's Lucas Bünzli got a good chance for a goal in the 72nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Louie Hicks took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Borys Okopny, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ron Garrett struck a weak shot in the 76th minute. Qi Guo Yue didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Wakefield Wanderers. Louie Hicks took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Borys Okopny, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Qi Guo Yue showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ron Garrett in the 81st minute of the match. 82 minutes into the match, Wakefield Wanderers's goal looked a bit too open when Lucas Bünzli came free, but Louie Hicks reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Yu Chen Cheng in the 83rd minute of play forced Wakefield Wanderers's goalkeeper Louie Hicks to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Louie Hicks showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Borys Okopny in the 88th minute of the match. Louie Hicks made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Borys Okopny in the 90th minute of play. When the match clock showed 91 minutes, the score became 15-0 when Lucas Bünzli sped through Wakefield Wanderers's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Louie Hicks. In the 94th minute Elodio Faine shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Louie Hicks saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The Torreoncito fans' excitement grew in the 96th match minute when Torreoncito's Adolf Uchiha looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 16-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene.
