An unexpectedly hard shot by Jörn Helström in the 10th minute of play forced Montesclarense E.C.'s goalkeeper Edgard de Almeida to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Haakon á Borg took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Wilson do Nascimento, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Montesclarense E.C.'s defense didn't have a chance, in the 13th minute, when Jörn Helström scored to the left of an out of position Edgard de Almeida, making the score, 1-1. If Jörn Helström had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Wilson do Nascimento came up free with the goalie in the 26th minute, the Montesclarense E.C. fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Wilson do Nascimento couldn't finish the play. Haakon á Borg made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Paulão Medeiros in the 30th minute of play. 32 minutes into the game, Jörn Helström recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Edgard de Almeida. Jörn Helström showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 3-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Carlos Gonzalez in the 34th minute of play forced Montesclarense E.C.'s goalkeeper Edgard de Almeida to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Haakon á Borg showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Wilson do Nascimento in the 38th minute of the match. Montesclarense E.C.'s Wilson do Nascimento got a good chance for a goal in the 41st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 43rd match minute, Cura del Futbol was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Wen Fei Peng to maneuver through the defense. Haakon á Borg showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ernani Tavares in the 44th minute of the match. Haakon á Borg made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from André Luís Schmidt in the 46th minute of play. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-1 at half-time.
After a rather tough play, Montesclarense E.C.'s Wilson do Nascimento got a free kick in the 53rd minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Jörn Helström in the 76th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Edgard de Almeida prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 78th minute, Jörn Helström made a precise shot to the right of Edgard de Almeida. Montesclarense E.C.'s defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 5-1. In the 82nd minute Bonifacio Reynardo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Edgard de Almeida saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Edgard de Almeida took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Carlos Gonzalez, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Gonçalo Diniz hit a great freekick 94 minutes into the match. 95 minutes into the game, Paulão Medeiros was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Montesclarense E.C.'s manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Cura del Futbol the free kick. A collision led to Montesclarense E.C. getting a freekick after 95 minutes play. Paulão Medeiros hit a great ball. Cura del Futbol's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
