Spectators: 7424 (Terracing: 5599, Seating: 1716, VIP seats: 109) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Darryl Simpson got the match started through his kick off. The supporters of DINAMO PLOIESTI booed when Wakefield Wanderers was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 3 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nial Sherman didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 4th minute of the match Ianis Hagi shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Louie Hicks showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Leon Slater during the 6th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Louie Hicks showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ianis Hagi, who was totally free with the ball in the 8th minute. In the 9th minute Kunter Irmak shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Louie Hicks saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Louie Hicks took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kunter Irmak, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Louie Hicks came out of the goal in the 12th minute to try and stop a shot by DINAMO PLOIESTI's Claudiu Dragan. But to his dismay, Claudiu Dragan quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Louie Hicks took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from George Bălanescu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 16 minutes into the game, DINAMO PLOIESTI's Kunter Irmak nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Louie Hicks made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. After 19 played minutes Wakefield Wanderers got a freekick which was hit by Ron Garrett. Louie Hicks came out of the goal in the 20th minute to try and stop a shot by DINAMO PLOIESTI's Kunter Irmak. But to his dismay, Kunter Irmak quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-3. In the 24th minute of the match DINAMO PLOIESTI got a corner. Wakefield Wanderers's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Ianis Hagi ran over to the corner to take the kick. After taking down the ball on DINAMO PLOIESTI's corner Ianis Hagi fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Louie Hicks quite easily take care of the ball. In the 25thth minute of the game Kunter Irmak who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Wakefield Wanderers's Louie Hicks was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After 25 minutes, Darryl Simpson mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Wakefield Wanderers and the DINAMO PLOIESTI players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Wakefield Wanderers getting a freekick after 26 minutes play. Darryl Simpson hit a great ball. 28 minutes into the match, Wakefield Wanderers's goal looked a bit too open when Florentin Petre came free, but Louie Hicks reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 28 played minutes DINAMO PLOIESTI got a freekick which was hit by Cristian Aluncai. 31 minutes into the game, DINAMO PLOIESTI's George Bălanescu nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Louie Hicks made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-4. After 33 minutes, Kunter Irmak made it 0-5 with a short kick to the right side. Wakefield Wanderers's Louie Hicks tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Louie Hicks took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Claudiu Dragan, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 40 played minutes Wakefield Wanderers got a freekick which was hit by Leon Slater. In the 42nd match minute, Wakefield Wanderers was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alastair Quantrill to maneuver through the defense. Louie Hicks took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Claudiu Dragan, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ianis Hagi might have been able to make a better finish in the 44th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Louie Hicks. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Ianis Hagi ran back to his position shaking his head. Louie Hicks showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Claudiu Dragan in the 45th minute of the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Nial Sherman during the 45th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 46th minute Kunter Irmak shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Louie Hicks saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After the first half DINAMO PLOIESTI were leading 0-5. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Claudiu Dragan to make the kick off. 50 minutes into the match, Wakefield Wanderers's goalkeeper Louie Hicks had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Claudiu Dragan. If Kunter Irmak had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Louie Hicks showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kunter Irmak, who was totally free with the ball in the 55th minute. 56 minutes into the game, George Bălanescu recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Louie Hicks. George Bălanescu showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-6. George Bălanescu took the ball and in the 67 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Louie Hicks. Louie Hicks dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-8. Louie Hicks stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of George Bălanescu's shot from short distance in the 71st minute. In the 74th minute, DINAMO PLOIESTI's Kunter Irmak dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-10. After 76 played minutes Wakefield Wanderers got a freekick which was hit by Leon Slater. In the 77th minute, Ianis Hagi sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Wakefield Wanderers's Louie Hicks didn't even have to move. Louie Hicks was out of position in the 80 minute of play, and Kunter Irmak capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Kunter Irmak really showed his touch with that goal: 0-11. Wakefield Wanderers's defense didn't have a chance, in the 83rd minute, when Kunter Irmak scored to the left of an out of position Louie Hicks, making the score, 0-12. If Kunter Irmak had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Wakefield Wanderers's Darryl Simpson got a free kick in the 95th minute. DINAMO PLOIESTI's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
